Head Shape & Size
We can work with all shapes & styles of picture lights.
LED Lensing & Spacing
Various lensing & separations are available and will be
selected depending on the picture light size in comparison
to the canvas dimensions.
Arm requirements
Correctly sized arms will be calculated (elevation &
projection), each with a swivel knuckle, to gain the desired head position and angle. It is important to shield the
LED source so that no glare is observed when viewing the
painting.
Lighting Levels
Each picture light will be supplied with its own dedicated
dimmer to ensure correct levels are achieved.
We recently carried out the Sustainable Lighting Upgrade
Program in the Long Gallery at Castle Howard using this
technology and have attached some images to illustrate
the lighting levels across the canvases, which ranged from
18“ x 15“ through to 110“ x 70“. If you would like to hear
