Colin Bignell
We turn our attention to Selectaglaze, a leading specialist in the secondary glazing industry since 1966
and a Royal Warrant holder since 2004. Colin Bignell, the Technical Sales Director, shared insights
on this esteemed recognition with us.
What does the Royal Warrant mean to Selectaglaze?
Colin Bignell: We are immensely proud and honoured
to have been granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment
as supplier of secondary glazing to His Majesty King
Charles III. This appointment reflects our team's
dedication to delivering excellent service and championing high sustainability standards. The Royal Warrant
is incredibly significant to Selectaglaze. We were first
awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 and this recognition
has continually inspired us to uphold the highest
standards.
What process have you been through to be awarded
one?
Colin Bignell: To be eligible, a company must have
supplied goods or services to the Royal Household for at
least five of the past seven years. Following this, we
underwent a rigorous application and evaluation process
to demonstrate, among other criteria, that we have a
robust quality policy, as well as a comprehensive environmental and sustainability policy and action plan.
What work was recognised?
This recognition reflected our ongoing commitment to
delivering high-quality products, exceptional service, and
sustainable practices. We have successfully delivered
numerous high-profile and technically demanding
projects, particularly involving listed properties. Our
expertise in secondary glazing, combined with meticulous
attention to detail, has proven invaluable. What truly sets
us apart is our unwavering commitment to designing,
manufacturing and installing bespoke solutions tailored
to the unique requirements of each project.
How does it affect business?
