I am Clinical Lead in Trauma & Orthopaedics at MidCheshire NHS
Foundation Trust.
As a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with a specialist interest
in; shoulder, trauma, complex fractures, whiplash claims, soft tissue injuries,
elbow and upper limb injuries, I specialise in high value and complex
medicolegal claims both for the Defence and Claimants.
I provide medico legal reports in personal injury in
various conditions – trips, slips, whiplash injury, hip
surgery, complex pelvic acetabular fractures, long
bone and articular fractures, ankle, lower limb injuries,
hip/knee joint replacements, periprosthetic fractures,
soft tissue injuries and LVI cases.
I have experience in shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, rotator cuff
surgery, frozen shoulder, shoulder stabilisation surgery, shoulder surgery,
shoulder pain, arthroscopy. Rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement
surgery, upper limb surgery, elbow surgery, carpal tunnel decompression,
trigger finger release surgery, Dupuytren’s surgery, ganglions, thumb base
arthritis, carpometacarpal CMC joint osteoarthritis and trapeziectomy.
I also provide clinical negligence related reports in my specialist area pf
practice concerning hip and knee replacements, revision surgery, and trauma
including pelvic-acetabular fractures.
Instructions from claimant/defendant solicitors or single joint expert
approximately (ratio 45:45:10). I provide the regional tertiary service in
pelvic-acetabular fractures.
I undertake approximately 100-150 personal injury reports per year, with a
defence, claimant and single joint expert ratio of 35:55:10. I also undertake
medical negligence cases.
I cover the Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheshire, Leeds, Birmingham and London
areas. Also available for home/domicillary visits.

encompasses a breadth of standard and complex paediatric
conditions and effects into adulthood.

Grinstead and the McIndoe Burn Centre, East Grinstead 1994-2006.

1997.
I undertake personal injury reports for children, including
severe injuries and complex diagnoses.
Mr Nicholas Parkhouse has over thirty years’ experience of plastic and reconstructive
surgery, nineteen years of which have been at Consultant level. He has a busy clinical
practice in mainstream plastic surgery including the repair and reconstruction of scar
disfigurement relating to trauma and burn injury and in all forms of aesthetic and
cosmetic plastic surgery. He was the Editor of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery
between 1997 and 2002 and has twice sat on the Council of the British Association
of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
My negligence work is mainly for paediatric cases such as
cerebral palsy, DDH, SUFE and trauma. I also write reports
for young adult hip cases such as pelvic osteotomy .
I regularly attend medico-legal courses.
Mr Parkhouse has developed a serious interest in medico-legal issues throughout his
career and maintains a high volume medico-legal practice. He has produced over
4000 reports for claims relating to personal injury and medical negligence.
I am based in Shropshire, but see clients from a wide
geographical area.
