Here are some of the recent case studies.
Iron Duke, North Drive, Newtown, Great
Yarmouth.
CWB provided a fire strategy for the Iron Duke is a
two-storey building with a footprint of approximately
500m2 and a height of approximately 9m. The height
to the top storey (first floor) is approximately 4m. The
building is Grade II listed and was previously an art-deco
pub. It Is proposed to bring the ground floor food and
beverage use back. At first floor level two holiday let flats
are proposed.
Maritime House,25 Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth.
CWB provided a fire strategy for Maritime House. The
project involved the internal alteration of an existing
four storey building with a basement floor. The building
is Grade II listed. The basement and the ground floor
will be used for commercial purposes and will consist
of a cafeteria, Escape rooms in the basement, and a
rear office. First, second and third floors will comprise
three apartments.
The Horse & Groom, Upper Oddington, GL56 0XH.
CWB are producing a fire strategy for the Horse and
Groom. The Horse is a two-storey building with a height
of approximately 9m. The building is Grade II listed and is
an existing public house with letting rooms. It is proposed
to create a new single-storey extension to the rear of the
existing pub, and a new two-storey extension to the rear of
the existing dining area/kitchen.

The Green Man, Mill Green, Hatfield, AL9 5NZ.
CWB provided a fire strategy for The Green Man
whichh is an existing two storey public house. The
building has been recently refurbished to shell and core
status. A potential tenant proposed some amendments,
the main one being using the space above the pub for
sleeping accommodation for the manager. The building
is Grade II listed. The ground floor will continue to be
used as a public house and the first floor will provide
living accommodation for the manager.
Dinton Hotel, Dinton Hall, Upton Rd,
Dinton, Aylesbury.
CWB provided a fire strategy for Dinton Hall Hotel
is a Grade II listed building and therefore any
alteration of the building layout and fabric requires
careful consideration.

CWB are produced a fire strategy for the building. The
project involved the internal alteration of an existing
four storey building with a basement floor. The building
is Grade II listed. The basement, ground and first floor
comprise a single commercial premises (shop on the
ground floor with associated offices on the first floor and
storage in the basement}. The second and third floors
will comprise three flats. One 2-bed flat on the third
floor and two 1-bed flats on the second floor.
