Is a Grade II* listed building designed by Sir Robert Smirke
and opened to members in 1838. The facade is an important
example of the Greek Revival style with an “air of monumental
grandeur” whilst the handsome, well-proportioned principal
rooms are decorated by an effective use of standard Grecian
mouldings and cast plaster.
Having previously decorated the main stair and Princess
Marie Louise Room, Hare & Humphreys were delighted to
be re-engaged in August 2025 for repairs and decorations to
the Smoking Room, Library Corridor, and South Library
under the direction of interior designer, Manuel Cerrone.
